One Thousand Women v Breast Cancer

One Thousand Women is a fundraising initiative led by Samantha Wisnevitz. Samantha is 32 years old but unfortunately is suffering with breast cancer which has spread to her liver, lungs and bones. You can Read on about her inspirational story here.

Driven by the desire to help other breast cancer sufferers, Sam has set up One Thousand Women. The campaign will see 1,000 women raise £250 each for the charity in any way they wish. Participating women will be encouraged to ask three friends to join them and also raise this amount, forming a '£1,000 hub'. The £250,000 raised will be used to support the groundbreaking development of new cures for breast cancer at Imperial College, Hammersmith Hospital, led by Professor Justin Stebbing. Fundraisers are planning events throughout England and as far afield as Portugal and even South Africa for One Thousand Women!
