Love and Light Paintings

Through her website Love & Light Paintings - www.loveandlightpaintings.co.uk Julie Smallwood creates and sells original and commissioned art donating 50 per cent of profits to Action Against Cancer.

“Painting has been a wonderful discovery for me as well as being a much-needed distraction. I know first hand what the difficulties are of having a close family member suffer from cancer. The illness becomes ever present and is far reaching in its effects, not only on the sufferer, but on all the family members, near and far, as well as friends, colleagues, acquaintances and neighbours.

It was not without trepidation that I launched this project, but I received so much support and encouragement that I began to believe that I may just be able to make a difference, however small it may be.

Having some one appreciate my work and buy one of my paintings is a huge honour for me and I’m happy and proud to be able to donate 50% of any profit to Action Against Cancer.

Through my paintings I hope also to send a message of love and light to all those people struggling with cancer and a message of support to all who are involved in the fight.”
